How do I install it?
  1. Unscrew your old shower head by hand, counterclockwise.
  2. Wrap the thread with the tape in the box.
  3. Screw Roselyn on until it is hand tight.
  4. Run the water for 30 seconds to flush the cartridge.

Fits every standard half inch shower arm. No tools, no drilling, nothing permanent. If you rent, put your old head back on the day you move out.

Will this actually help my eczema?

Warm water opens your pores, and that is the exact moment your skin meets chlorine, chloramines and whatever your pipes are shedding. Chlorine is a solvent. It dissolves fat. Your skin barrier is a fat layer.

Skin that is not eczema-prone rebuilds that layer within hours. Yours does not get there before the next shower. That is why every cream worked for a week and then stopped.

Roselyn removes the irritant before it reaches you. In our customer survey, 92% reported fewer flare-ups after showering.

Will it kill my water pressure?

No. Roselyn is a shower head with filtration built into the housing, not a puck you stack between the arm and your old head. Stacked filters cause the pressure drop people complain about. Most people say the spray feels slightly softer and more even.

I tried a shower filter before and it did nothing

You had the right idea and the wrong device. Almost every filter under forty dollars is single stage activated carbon. Carbon works on chlorine at cold temperatures and loses most of its effect at shower heat, usually within weeks, without any signal that it stopped.

It also does nothing for chloramines or heavy metals. That is 1 of 4 daily irritants.

What is the 100 day guarantee?

Use it for 100 days. Run a full cartridge through it. If your skin is no calmer, email us and you get your money back. No form, no explanation, no original packaging.

What is in your shower water

Five irritants. Every single morning.
Water hardness across Canada and the United States
01
Chlorine & THMs

A solvent added to nearly all US tap water. It dissolves the lipid layer your barrier is made of, at exactly the moment your pores are open.

02
Chloramine

Chlorine bound to ammonia. More stable, harder to remove, completely untouched by cheap carbon filters.

03
Limescale

Hard water minerals stop soap from rinsing away cleanly. What is left behind keeps working on your skin long after you have towelled off.

04
Lead, copper, nickel

Leaching out of aging pipes on the way to your shower head. Nickel is a documented contact irritant for reactive skin.

05
pH imbalance

Your acid mantle sits around pH 5. Hard, chlorinated water runs well above that and pushes it out of range every time.

The mechanism

Four media. Four different things in your water.

A filter is only as good as what is packed inside it. These four were chosen for skin, not for hair, and each one handles something the others cannot.

The four filtration media inside the Roselyn cartridge
What is packed inside the cartridge. Every drop passes through all four before it reaches your skin.
Chlorine & chloramine
Calcium Sulfite

Neutralizes chlorine and chloramines at full shower temperature, where cheap carbon gives up within weeks. This is the medium almost no filter on the shelf includes.

Chloramine, fast
Vitamin C Beads

Ascorbic acid is the fastest thing there is at taking chloramine apart, and speed is the whole game in a shower, because the water is inside the cartridge for about a second.

Metals
KDF-55

A copper zinc medium that captures copper and nickel coming off aging supply lines, and keeps the carbon from turning into a bacterial bed inside the cartridge.

Polish
Activated Coconut Carbon

Takes out residual taste, odor and organic compounds that the other three leave behind. Coconut shell has a finer pore structure than the coal based carbon in budget cartridges.

What to expect

Results in less than 4 weeks.
Day one
The shower itself feels different.

Less of the tight, squeaking feeling when you towel off.

Week two
The post shower flare gets smaller.

The window between stepping out and reaching for the cream stops being the worst part of your morning.

Week four
Your moisturizer starts holding.

Nothing about the cream changed. It is finally landing on a barrier that was not stripped five minutes earlier.

Week twelve
You stop thinking about it as often.

Fewer mornings that start with checking your arm.

30 days

What changed was not a new cream.

The patch below my elbow finally went quiet

It has been there in one form or another for as long as I can remember. This did not cure my eczema and I am not going to tell you it did. It stopped getting worse every morning, and that turned out to be the whole thing.

Face before and after

My face stopped burning after every shower

I had gotten used to the ten minutes of heat and tightness afterwards. I thought that was just what washing your face costs when you have reactive skin. It is not.

BeforeAfter 30 days

I had written off shower filters completely

I bought a twenty five dollar one off Amazon and felt nothing, so I filed the whole category with everything else that did not work. Turns out those are single stage carbon and they quit in hot water. Right idea, wrong device.

I rent, so this was the only option I had

I cannot touch the plumbing in my apartment and a whole home system was never going to happen for me. I had basically accepted that anything to do with my water was off the table until I owned a place, which is not a thing that is happening soon.

This unscrewed my old head and screwed on in about three minutes with my bare hands. No tools, nothing that needed a landlord conversation. I kept the old head in the closet for whenever I move out. If you have been assuming you need to own your home to do anything about this, you do not.

Pressure was my only worry and it turned out fine

My husband was the one pushing back on this, because the last filter thing we tried turned our shower into a sad drizzle and he never let me forget it. That one was a puck you screw in behind the head, which I now understand is exactly the design that causes the problem.

This is the head itself, so there is nothing stacked up in the line. The spray is honestly a little softer and more even than what we had before. He has stopped mentioning it entirely, which for him is a five star review.

I bought it for my daughter, not for me

She has had eczema for as long as I can remember and bath time has been a negotiation her whole life. We cut foods she loved. We changed every detergent in the house. I have sat on that bathroom floor more nights than I want to count.

In all of that, across three doctors, nobody once asked me about the water I was rinsing her in every single evening. Her skin is not perfect now and I am not going to pretend it is. But she does not cry getting out anymore, and I will take that over another elimination diet.

My skin changed and I could not figure out why

I never had this growing up. It started when everything else in my body started shifting and my doctor put it down to hormones, which felt a lot like being told to accept it and go home.

What I had not considered is that a thinner barrier means the same daily exposure hits harder than it used to. Nothing about my water changed. My skin's tolerance for it did. Taking one thing out of that equation helped more than the third moisturizer did. Half a star off only because I wish the cartridge lasted longer than three months.

Nothing happened at first and I nearly sent it back

Week one I felt absolutely nothing and I was completely ready to be annoyed about it. The only thing that stopped me packing it up was that the site itself says week one does very little, so I could not really act like I had been misled.

Around week three my arm stopped going red in the ten minutes after showering. It is not gone. It is quieter. Four stars rather than five because I genuinely think they should say even more loudly at the top that you need to sit on your hands for the first stretch. I almost missed it.

I wanted something that was not another prescription

I have been on and off topical steroids longer than I want to admit, and I am tired of the cycle where it calms down, I stop, and it comes back worse than before. I was not looking for a cure here. I was looking for one single thing I could change that did not involve putting anything else on my skin.

This is that. It did not cure my eczema and I would be suspicious of anyone telling me it would. It removed one thing that was working against me every morning, and the rest of what I already do finally gets a fair shot.

I did the math before I let myself buy it

Eighty five dollars felt like a lot for a shower head, so I went and actually added up what is sitting in my bathroom cabinet right now. Two prescription tubes. The big tub of CeraVe I buy on repeat. The oil that did nothing. The supplements I stopped taking.

I have spent several multiples of this price on things that helped for a week. This was the first purchase in a long time that went at the thing causing the problem instead of the thing after it.

Four dermatologists and not one of them mentioned water

That is the part I keep coming back to. Moisturize within three minutes. Avoid your triggers. Manage your stress. Here is a stronger cream. All of it correct advice, none of it wrong.

Not one of them asked what I was standing in for ten minutes every morning. I do not think anyone was hiding anything from me. There is no prescription to write for it and no billing code, so it simply never comes up. I mentioned it at my last appointment and she said it was a reasonable thing to try.

I looked up my city’s water hardness and just sat there

Someone in a forum said to stop obsessing over shower temperature and go look up the hardness where you actually live. So I did. We are in the top tier in the entire country.

I have lived here for the whole stretch that my skin has been at its worst and I had never once put those two facts next to each other. That is what made me buy this, not the marketing. If you are on the fence, go look up your own city first.

My partner ordered it without telling me

He got tired of watching me stand at the mirror after every single shower doing the same inspection of the same patch of skin. He just installed it one afternoon and said try it for the hundred days, and if nothing changes we send it back and lose nothing.

Something changed. I am mostly writing this because I would never have bought it for myself. I had stopped believing anything new would work, and I am glad somebody else was less stubborn about it than me.

Works, but budget for the cartridges

No complaints about the product itself. My skin is calmer and the install took no time at all. The one thing I would tell anyone considering it is that the cartridge is a real ongoing cost and you should factor it in rather than being surprised in month four.

I will say they are upfront about it on the page and there is no subscription quietly trying to trap you, which is genuinely more than I can say for most things I have bought for my skin. Four stars, and I will keep buying the refills.

Three kids, three different skins, one shower

Two of mine flare and one does not, and I was running three separate routines out of the same bathroom with three different bottles and a lot of arguing.

I did not expect a shower head to simplify any of that. It filters for whoever happens to be standing under it, so there is nothing to remember, nothing to dose and nothing anyone can refuse to have rubbed on them. That alone was worth the price to me before I even looked at their skin.

FAQ

You got questions. We got answers.
Will this fit my shower?

If your shower head screws onto an arm coming out of the wall, yes. That is a standard half inch connection and almost every North American home and apartment uses it. It does not fit ceiling mounted rain heads or handheld hose setups without an adapter.

How often do I replace the cartridge?

About every 3 months, sooner with several people showering daily or unusually hard water. Your first one is included free. Replacements are $35 and you order them when you want one.

Does it soften the water?

No, and anyone telling you a shower head softens water is not being straight with you. Softening needs ion exchange and a tank. Roselyn reduces chlorine, chloramines, heavy metals and particles. For reactive skin those are the irritants that matter. The chlorine is the offender, not the minerals.

Can I use it if my child has eczema?

Yes. It filters the water for everyone using that shower. Nothing is applied to skin and there is nothing to dose. If your child is under the care of a dermatologist, this does not replace anything they have prescribed.

Is there a subscription?

No. This is the most common complaint in the category and we are not doing it. You buy the filter once and reorder cartridges when you want them. Nothing auto renews.

Do you ship to Canada?

Yes. Shipping is free to both the United States and Canada. Orders leave our warehouse within 24 hours on business days and typically arrive in 4 to 8 business days.

How do I track my order?

Your tracking link is in your shipping confirmation email. If you cannot find it, email us with the name on the order and we will resend it.

Where do I enter a discount code?

On the checkout page, in the field above the order summary. The sale price here is already applied.

What payment methods do you accept?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna and Shop Pay.

How do I return it?

Email us within 100 days of delivery and we send return instructions. You do not need the original box and you do not need to explain why.
