Privacy policy
Effective date: July 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Silas Petereit, trading as Roselyn ("Roselyn," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit or buy from tryroselyn.com (the "Site"). Silas Petereit, Wörpeweg 22, 27412 Tarmstedt, Germany, is the data controller responsible for your information.
Information we collect. When you visit the Site we automatically collect device and usage data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs) through cookies and similar technologies. When you place an order or subscribe, we collect the information you provide: name, billing and shipping address, email, phone, and payment information. Payment card details are processed by our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments, PayPal, and the card networks); we do not store full card numbers.
How we use it. To process and ship orders, manage subscriptions and billing, provide customer support, prevent fraud, send transactional messages and — with your consent where required — marketing messages, measure and improve the Site, and comply with law.
Advertising & analytics. We use third-party tools such as the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel, Google Analytics, and similar technologies to understand traffic and to show you relevant ads. These providers may set cookies and receive information about your activity on the Site, and may transfer that information to servers in the United States or other countries. You can opt out of many interest-based ads at optout.aboutads.info and youradchoices.com, and control cookies through your browser settings or through the cookie preference tool on this Site, where offered.
How we share it. We share information with service providers acting on our behalf (payment processors, shipping and fulfillment partners, email/SMS platforms, analytics and ad providers), when required by law, to enforce our terms, or in a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information for money. Some ad-related sharing may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" under certain US state laws — see "Your US state rights" below to opt out.
Data retention. We keep personal information as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes.
Your US state rights. Depending on your state (including California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, and others with privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising and any "sale"/"sharing" of personal information. California residents may also request the categories of information we collect and disclose and are protected from discrimination for exercising these rights.
Your Canadian privacy rights. If you are located in Canada, our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information is also subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws. You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, and withdraw consent to certain uses (such as marketing) at any time, subject to legal and contractual restrictions. To exercise these rights, email info@roselyn.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you are located in Québec, additional rights and obligations apply under Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), including the right to request a copy of your data in a portable format and the right to file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec. Where required by law, we obtain your express consent before placing non-essential cookies or trackers on your device, and you can withdraw that consent at any time through the cookie preference tool on this Site.
Marketing to Canadian recipients (CASL). We only send marketing emails or SMS to recipients in Canada with the consent required under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. Every marketing message identifies Roselyn as the sender, our contact information, and includes a working unsubscribe mechanism; unsubscribe requests are honored within 10 business days.
Your EU/EEA rights (GDPR). Because we are established in Germany, the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to our processing. Where it applies to you, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. We process your data to perform our contract with you (orders and subscriptions), to comply with legal obligations, and based on our legitimate interests and your consent for marketing and analytics. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Germany, the competent authority is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen.
Exercising your rights. Email info@roselyn.com. We will verify and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.
Children. The Site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Security. We use commercially reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes. We may update this policy; the "Effective date" shows the current version.
